Open for business

Cheapstead LLC is owned and operated by Luke and Hannah Townsley. Three years ago when we moved to Seymour from the Joplin area, we wondered where people go to shop. While there were a few obvious answers, including Kleier Farm & Home, Byler Building Supply which also has a cool general store, Shetler's Discount Grocery, the dollar stores, and a few others, the truth is, there are a lot of things we end up having to pick up elsewhere, often in Springfield.

Frustrated by rising prices, and the need to travel long distances ourselves, we have been working for the last couple years selling quality value-priced mattresses by appointment here in the Seymour area with people coming from all around to get good mattress deals. Hundreds of customers have enjoyed our service, selection, convenience, quality, and affordability. Already, we have seen many repeat customers and customers who come to us through word of mouth. We plan to continue this business into the foreseeable future.

Building on what we offer with the mattresses, we are now introducing CheapStead LLC, a new locally owned business bringing discount home goods to our area.

CheapStead has a similar focus as our discount mattress business, handling discount and liquidation type items for the home. At this time, we will continue to sell items by appointment offering delivery for larger items much as we continue to do with our name brand discount mattress business.
